Also in March, Ryker started to notice that his birthmark had little white hairs growing on it. We consulted a plastic surgeon and were told that it was more likely to develop cancer than any other mole. Therefore we decided to have it removed. Ryker was very brave and after surgery needed very little pain medicine. The surgeon did a fabulous job and Ryker love to show people his scar that looks like a moon!
Before surgery, the mole was getting bigger and darker and we were starting to get more comments on it.
After surgery, the scar is less noticable and most of it is under the chin.
